School Leadership

From a young age, Katie Hardesty knew she was destined to work in education. Katie grew up in Greenfield, WI and attended the Whitnall School District. As a teenager, she began working at YMCA summer day camps starting as a camp counselor and spending her last summer there as assistant camp director. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree and teaching license from Carroll College (now University). Katie began working in the Appleton Area School District in 2001 and has taught at Ferber Elementary, Classical School, and Wilson and Einstein Middle Schools. She earned her Masters of Art degree from Marian College. Katie currently serves as the Principal of Houdini Elementary School. Katie loves spending time with her family, running, traveling and reading.
